So I was currently planning on region changing a JP new 3ds to U.S. using this method: and I was wondering the best way to move my NNID to this new region changed JP to U.S. console that has full access to Eshop.

1.) Call Nintendo support to move NNID - The issue with this is that I believe you have to provide the serial # of the new 3ds that you will transfer to? Even though the region changed 3DS is now U.S. I would assume nintendo would see the japanese serial # and not do the transfer

2.) Make a backup of the hacked region changed 3ds and use my old 3ds with the NNID on it to transfer the NNID via a system transfer. After this I would restore the NAND backup on the region changed 3ds since the transfer is just needed to move the NNID on nintendo's servers.
Thoughts? (and thank you!)

You have to make the Japanese 3DS into an US region then do system transfer.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • NinStar @ NinStar:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
