Gaming More RPG Goodness: Tales of Hearts

From the same source that broke the Chrono Trigger DS (Jump magazine), comes a new Tales game exclusively for the DS. (It also mentions a PSP sequel to Tales of the World).

DS - Tales of Hearts (Planned for Winter 2008)
Graphics are 2D, background is 3D-ish Realistic illustrations as well
Main Character - Sing/Shing
Heroine - Kohaku

Can you spell EPIC? Hopefully this comes out in NA, such a rip off that Innocence didn't come out here. And I also don't like the CG characters, I prefer anime cutscenes, and they can also have more because it takes up less space (I think).

Well, they didn't release Innocence outside of Japan, so why should it be different this time? :/

That didn't stop a lot of GBAtemp people from playing. I am currently playing Innocence with the trans patch...

i wouldnt play translated games when the dialogues arent translated as well. I understand that it would be a lot of work but i really cant enjoy a game without a plot or story...

And no, not looking forward to this one if its only japanese region.

the innocence translation project has been discontinued.. only the menus n such r translated, nothin gof the story

This, folks, is why the translation community doesn't take DS and GBA very seriously. Most translations end up stalling far before completion.

Yeah, won't be considering the announcement of Tales of Hearts "More RPG Goodness" because we have yet to see a localization of either of the other two DS Tales games, so I won't expect this one to come overseas, either. A real shame, to be sure, but it is what it is. Sure wish Namco would perhaps team up with Atlus to publish Tales of Innocence and this game for the western world.
