On the Restoring the Trucha Bug step, it never asks me to press 1 at any point and after i choose load from SD card once it then asks me again where to load it from.

Whats going on?

keep pressing A
if that does'nt work and you have wifi do this
NUS Install - where it says load from sd push right until it says NUS then press A
keep doing this and it shold work this is what i had to do

by the way does it work for any ver of preloader cause ive got v3

Sorry i can't be sure but i believe so. My version is .29 and it works.

Hello. I'm on 3.2U right now with the homebrew channel already installed before looking at this guide. Should I do the step where it ask me to run bannerbomb? Or should I do that step after updating my Wii, then run bannerbomb from the SD card menu?

Unfortunately I don't have wifi

What happens is a follow all the steps, but when i get to;

Choose load IOS from SD.

I don't get the option to choose IOS15, it just says Load IOS from SD card. Then it says it is installing and i have to press A again to get back into the homebrew channel.

So am i stuck without wifi now?

no u can still get it working it will just be a little harder to do and will take longer
give me 2 mins and al try and find the files you need

hello and happy new year... I follow an other guide from a site but i think i made some wrong moves.. After i have finished, errors (1048,1053) were written at neogamma when i put a DVD - R Verbatim copy and when i downloaded two games from hbc browser ( super mario war and uno) and i tried to play them, the screen went black and "system occured" was written and the console stucked? My question is if and how i can delete the hbc , and follow your guide from the beggining?? I bought my black wii before two weeks and i don't know which firmware it had. I updated it to 4.2 online...i think that i have made all the steps wright until modify 4.2 - Making a NAND backup but after those steps i don't know if i made them correct.Please help me!!!!

Hi

I follow the step until..

I recommend the following for disc loading:
cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
cIOS222[38+37]-v4.wad
cIOS223[38]-v4.wad
cIOS249-v14.wad
cIOS250-v14.wad
IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

.. and install those wad files but then i realize that my Wii is using D3-2 drive so i have to load backup games from USB instead.

So, can i use WAD Manger 1.5 to install cIOS249-v16.wad and cIOS250-v16.wad? Do i need to uninstall those v14 first?

i have aquestion here what will happen if i installed both cISO for DISK and USB is there a problem, am using disk but maybe at the future i can USB

If you have Rev14 and then install Rev16 then R16 overwrites R14.

You could install Rev14 as 249 and Rev16 as 250 though.

You would just have to change the settings inside the loaders your using.

*NeoGamma Only works with ios249 and is best with Rev14 because Rev16 has issues with NeoGamma*

actual i installed both cISOS for DISK and USB as it recommended i hope there is no problem with that,i installed cIOS249-v16.wad and cIOS250-v16.wad not v15 for the USB now do you advice me to install or unstall or overwrite any thing.

They overwrite each other but does nothing bad to your will. Search for the pro's and cons of each version. each one has its own problems and fixes. for disk loading ur advised to stay on v14 as this keep your neogamma working. v15 and v16 can cause problems for your neo gamma

great that's right v16 overwrite v14, so if i will use DISK stay with v14 if i will use USB stay with v16.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nothing work with Wii from the first time i wonder because am still new with Wii how many program and patches or iso we are using and after all of this there's games dos't work.

Still getting the same problem as a few others: after downgrading ios15 and attempting to patch ios36 I get this message:

Could not open file: sd:/IOS36-64-v3351.wad
Could not open file: sd:/IOS36-64-v3351.wad.out.wad
Error reading IOS into memory
IOS36 installation failed

any ideas?

When selecting IOS15 for that step, you press A
Try it with pressing B instead (like for the first step)
Sometimes it works like that

hi guys, got some errors here, okay i manage to update my firmware to 4.2U. I check it in Wii setting, it says 4.2U already.

1. now the problem is that when i try to Modify it, i cant seem to open the SD Card menu (the one in the Wii channels), it freezes when i click on the SD Card button, the 'pointer hand' is freezing there.. i try 4 or 5 times still cant get it running.

2. So i was thinking that i should run the update again...so i put the ntscupdate (the files inside it i mean) again, then i go to the SD card menu...hoping that it would pop up the windows from hackmii to run the boot.dol but instead i got a question mark (?) inside the first wii menu box, its command was Move Erase or Copy. I've done it a few times, even formatting the SD card but still give me the same thing.

3. Then, i try to downgrade it...since i dont know what todo. i put the all the files inside ntscdowngrade into the SD card, run it through channels menu again. and it appears nothing...not freezing, but it just doesnt read anything inside the SD Card.

4. Everytime i go in to the HBC, it got stuck. the remote light dead, the screen go blank. so i have to hard-reset it. since it needed the HBC to downgrade to 4.1U is it?

Has anyone experience the same problems here? please help. i really have no clue. Thanks before.
