All it says I need is the "mod.zip" when doing Offline Method 4.1 (unless I dont see where theres something else listed)

I still cant get "Press right until you see IOS60" to work. When I press A nothing happens. Beside it it says "currently installed (none)"

IOS61 worked fine after it connected to the internet and downloaded whatever file it needed.

Do I need to do IOS60 step?

-------------
I tried to just move on without doing IOS60.

Now step:

4] Run Wad Manager [this step can be skipped if already on 4.1]
When it opens choose use IOS249. (it is probably already set to that)
Press A to open from SD.

I get this error:
Installing title... ERROR! (ret = -1036)

he guys,

i am trying to do this guide, but (and now I feel like the biggest n00b alive) I am stuck at getting the newmod.zip. I tried emailing, but there is no response. I know I know, I am probably overlooking something, but can someone tell me if it takes ages to receive the link to the file? You may laugh.

thanks, though

Hi guys! Thanxs for the great post first of all! I've just got a wii and checked that it's a 3.4E. I currently cant update it because i dont have a wireless connection.
Some (stupid) questions:

1. Anyway to update to 4.1 or 4.2 without connecting it directly to the net? Which version is best?
2. after updating, and following the guide all i have to do is burn the backups on dvd-r?
3. Can i buy any sd card or are there some sd cards better than others?

Thanxs!!

After doing the 4.2 online backup method, I tried installing cioscorp 3.4 without success.

the hbc was upside down and the disks will not load from the disk channel.

Also, preloader does not work saying that IOS36 has the fakesign bug fixed.

How can I fix these issues? thanks

1. Just follow the offline Guide for 4.1 (4.2 is not good to have)
2. If that is what you want
3. Most SD cards should work...

Thanxs for being super quick responding! But do i only have to follow the offline guide for 4.1 without any change of the firmware? Or do I have to use some kind of appz to do the update first?

Updating offline to 4.1 should be included with the offline guide

the hackmii installer is at v5
bootmii is at v4
and yes its the most stable bootmii yet.
fixes the v3 "dump from different wii problem"

yes it will overwrite your previous version.
