Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

After doing the 4.1 offline method, I noted that gc backups were not recognized anymore. I fixed it by changing the System Menu IOS to 249 in the preloader's settings. I don't know if it was just me, but I'm letting you know anyways...

i've just tried a sandisk 2 gb sd card. it still blocks when i run the sd card on the wii. i´ve already formatted it like recommended. what am i mdoing wrong. since i'm on 3.3e do i have to anything else?

i´ve just tried the card with images and such and it works 100%. but then i copy the mod.zip files and it just freezes. Is it any trouble with the fact my firmware is 3.3??

After doing the 4.1 online method HOW can I play WAD files on my wii?cause I've seen threads saying I have to downgrade it blah blah but I don't know if I have to do that again after doing this.
And also I can find the homebrew browser.
can someone give me the link to download it? if it is allow to ask that in here. if not can someone give me a hint?

The 4.2 guide worked perfect for me.


I updated through nintendo on my spare wii at my parents house to 4.2 and then followed the guide and everything worked perfectly.GX loader is running smoothly.Never used neogamma here so i can't test it but i assume there shouldn't be any problems with it.

The download link on that webpage doesn't work for me. everytime I go there I get an 403 Forbiden You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

now do you know how can I play WAD files? Do I needo to download something else or I can just put the files in there and play it?

Sorry C175R but i've modded my we because i read one can make backups of their Wii games and turn around and play those very same backups. So i haven't read much on the wad file system besides what i needed. maybe some 1 else can clue us both in. I'm still unsure how to get dvd dump to work but i'll post that question on noob paradise.

wad files are installed using WAD manager

1.5 is the latest, just drop your wads into a folder named "wad" onto the root of your sd card and run the wad manager to install it.

I can't get it to Install the internet channel,shop ext.
and when I use these steps I an error 2011,.ext
what am I missing

I put every folder with a .dol file into the apps folder on my SD card.
They will show up when you open HBC.
