Dusklight v2.0 released, brings randomiser and extensive modding support to the Twilight Princess port

It's been a long time coming, but randomiser support has finally made it to Dusklight. Released earlier today, the v2.0 release is packed with some pretty fantastic offerings for those who have yet to give it a go. And even more for those who want a fresh way to replay the game. The full changelog can be found on the GitHub release, and it is extensive, so I'll just capture the key points here:
  • Randomiser support
  • Mod support
  • Built-in mod browser
  • More support for other game discs for extraction
  • Huge performance improvements
  • Heaps of quality of life changes
All of this can be enjoyed right now by hopping over to their website and following the install instructions, but the trailer didn't stop there. At the end we got a glimpse of what's coming soon, and what was shown wasn't on my bingo card: Wii U support. It's not here yet, but it's one to look forward to in the future.

I hate that I even have to ask this. It's so sad how the internet is turning more and more ai generated and abandoning human made content. The average joe has no clue of the environmental impacts A.I. really has.

Scarlet bell told me i could use the save editor on dusklight to get past the tear of light, so how can i use the save editor on dusklight to get past the tears of light then?

I can respect that but you're also dodging the question of whether or not AI was used in the making of dusk. I imagine your team worked hard, and I can respect that. What I can't get behind ethically is the use of generative A.I.

As someone who's been observing the development of it since the early days, the only time I've seen AI mentioned was when people were memeing about it. Of course it's also impossible to know whether people used AI in any project when a lot of people can contribute and everything is cleaned up, but overall the standards for this project are incredibly high and slop doesn't seem to make it's way in. None of the assets are AI generated either. You are absolutely not getting vibe coded trash with this port, and it's most likely the best community made port of all time with a ridiculous amount of polish.

An attempt at gaslighting us for not immediately helping them with something they could figure out by themselves. I wouldn't put much thought into someone who keeps spamming for help even when they already got their answer. At that point, it's just lacking any motivation to learn how to do anything themselves, and you don't need to have autism to be unwilling to learn.
 
my parents taught me if i do not understand anything at all ask for help

and i do not understand the flag system on the save editor for dusklight at all to get past the tears of light much more easier for me

If you truly don't understand what you're doing, then maybe you should stay away from the "Advanced Settings" section and endure the Tears of Light segments. You're not getting anything else from me beyond that.
 
I love playing this game alot because its my favoruite zelda game to play, but i have lots problems playing it alot

I tried my best to play it like the rest of you guys play alot as well

i just need alot more help with this game because i can't get tears of light on my own and i can't get the ball on my own with the hookshot in the twlight realm as well

last time when i tried to do this on my own, it took me a really long time, so can you guys help please think of a much more easier for me to get the tear the light and the ball in the twlight realm please

You want a much easier way to complete the game than what was already suggested to you? Get a friend who lives nearby, and have them play the entire game for you while you watch. Everything gets done for you, and all you have to do is potentially leave your house and/or basement. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Otherwise, if you really want to skip those segments, you're going to have to be willing to learn stuff. And no, I will not help you learn how to learn. Figure that part out yourself.

This is not the place for that. This is to discuss the software itself; the release, any issues/bugs/etc. What you're looking for a handholding or a walkthrough or something of that nature that pertains to the content itself. GameFAQs is probably your best bet.
