I was wondering this as well. I was hoping to have my fat32 HDD to have all my vwii apps/games and my Wii U games in the same drive by using rednand. As @Cyan mentioned earlier I'd like to keep my sysnand as clean as possible in case I mess up something. What would you guys think is my best course of action here?

Can you use Mocha with Loadiine using the Loadiine games on sd card or do you have to move them to an external or flash drive?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

But now I realize you still have to get to the HBC through old methods to get to mocha each time so I don't get the point of this exactly. What is the simpliest way to get to HBC each time you boot? I'm using an offline method using a wifi hotspot and xampp but it's sort of time consuming to get them running not forever but a few minutes I'd love a faster way.
I have 2 legit DS titles that I can use for Haxchi so all of this for me is 100% offline (Uninstalled CBHC on 1 of them just in case anything went wrong). But if you dont have Haxchi, Your going to have to use browser hax to get into loadiine, Just as you would if you wanted to use wupinstaller to install a game to usb.

either :
browserhax > hbl > loadiine
or
Browserhax > hbl > mocha > redNAND > WUP installer on redNAND (or usb, but don't keep your usb when booting the console or it might affect your console's NAND, unless you format your NAND or redNAND to unlink the hdd).
I guess formatting redNAND is now working as you can redirect SEEPROM too. anyone tried this already?

I once helped someone who used redNAND but it affected his real NAND too, so I don't know how much sandboxed redNAND is.
I would just use loadiine if you really want to be sure your console stays clean.

Does this make launching out of region titles possible?
this what? Mocha? yes, mocha has region patch. But Haxchi has it too, and CBHC has it too, and simple signature patcher has it too. in fact all CFW have that patch, except the old iosuhax fw.img.
if all you want is region patch, you don't need Mocha.

Do I need cbhc to use the fat 32 support on Moccha without the format nag?
if you want to skip the format message at system launch, then yes.

you can launch mocha manually (from hbl or haxchi) but you'll get the format message if the hdd is connected before mocha. you can connect the drive after launching Mocha from hbl or haxchi if you want.

but if you want to keep your HDD plugged at boot, then CBHC->Mocha is the only solution. (for the moment)
I asked fix94 in CBHC thread if it was possible to add the format message patch to CBHC sysmenu too. Let's see what he think about that idea.

What requirements must be the HDD fat32 to run in loadiine in mod: Mocha ....
How would the files and folders be sorted on the hard drive?
...
I tried a couple of times but when I load homebrew launcher a second time (after load mocha ) To select Loadiine my console freezes or Error with black screen called"FSOpenfile Failed"

This not happen when disconect the HDD and load loadiine its happen only with the HDD is connected

EDIT: Your supposed to use mii maker to re-enter / launch the homebrew channel a second time after already using browser hax once, Not sure if its the same with haxchi ? I suppose so.

i Already solved it ,
The problem came because I did not have the default cluster on my hard drive

yes, I didn't say it, but Dimok did in his changelog:

if you dump your USB WiiU hdd file system, and copy it to your FAT32 HDD, then it will use it as if it's an official WiiU HDD.

copy "usr" folder to your first FAT32 primary partition (I guess no GPT support?), and the wiiU will detect it as a formatted WIIU HDD.
You can add games manually to the usr folder (don't use WUP Installer!) and it will be listed and playable from USB.

see the "what works, what doesn't" in the changelog just few posts above.

Hi cyan

Could you explain to me what is it for the folder "usr"? that is automatically created in my HDD after launching mocha for the first time ,What uses does it have? Currently I use that special mocha to load backup in loadiine in a Hdd fat32.

But I do not know what the "usr" folder

Is must be for "User" data i suppose. I mean, did you look inside? :P

yep,
But what uses does it have? That folder first time I see it..I've just used loadiine all my life ^_^
Is just all the data that is used for the games you play on it. You know like the ones on the home menu? Including save data. Is all the "USER" data. :P

Usually you don't wanna touch that if you dunno what you are doing. :)

-I am very noob to decompress that information :gba:

"You can add games manually to the usr folder"
Games in loadiine format?
They are not supposed to go in the folder called"games"?

Well i mean if you dunno what you are doing, is safer to just ignore it. Usually touching stuff especially that can be bad.

Is just a folder for your wii u apps and games save data and stuff. Is how is installed on the system. Th wii u is encrpyted so it only works on it like that. Encrpyted files are usually only read by the system that formatted and encrypted it. It won't do much on anything else.

I didn't test it, I based my explanation on Dimok's information.

To me "usr" should be the base folder used by the WiiU on a WiiU formatted HDD. if the WiiU does not use this foldername, then it's just a folder dimok created to place all your WiiU HDD content into it so your console will think you have a real WiiU HDD.
it acts as if "usr" folder IS a WiiU formated HDD, while in fact that's just a folder on a FAT32 partition.

Everything you put inside "usr" will be treated as your officially formated WiiU drive.
so ... I guess you need to copy ALL the content a WiiU HDD can have into that folder.

It's exactly as you said, you can use ftpiiu to copy content over to a pc via wifi but that does take quite some time for large games.. hopefully we will get a file manager of some sort that can copy them directly to another usb device though i'm not even sure if that would be possible.

ftpiiu everywhere only sees a single drive at a time?
I think for new users, they could format a new HDD to wiiU format and copy the minimum files created by the console.
Users with already 2TB HDD full of game will have more issue switching it to FAT32. even with WUP Server and an SD card it would take a long time to transfer the full USB to SD to FAT32 USB.

someone was working on a WFS editor on computer, but I didn't follow the project.

Only with the official mocha release does it show more than 1 device and only if it's one usb + sd but it still doesn't allow you to transfer files between the two.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
