I remember reading about white listing a higher firmwares list of blocked flash carts but I couldn't find it. I was wondering if someone could tell me how I can do this or redirect me to the thread if you know where it is. As I want to play some games on my ds flash carts without having to use those small dinky screens on my ds lite.

Thanks in advanced and sorry if you were miss lead by the title.

All you have to do is install the bluecardfix.cia from the latest GW update (use devmenu.3ds to install it, find it on google), alternatively you can use flashcarttimewarp.cia, they do the same thing.

So I used the devmenu to try and install the blue card fix and it won't work. it tells me it failed.

Find the devmenu.3ds with CRC32 e4af558f.

And don't use BigBlueMenu, even though it is a later Devmenu.

People forgot to mention one VERY IMPORTANT POINT.

You need to boot into Gateway mode INTO SYSNAND and install the bluecardfix.cia on your SYSNAND AND NOT YOUR EMUNAND :)

There are two very simple methods to boot into SYSNAND in Gateway mode (which will actually allow you to install the .cia in your sysnand).

FIRST METHOD - Do what Gateway says....

In our last release we realised there was no easy way to boot into SYSNAND mode, so we got you covered now! From now on, while in the Gateway menu with the boot icons visible, simply hold B while booting into Gateway mode.

You will then be asked to confirm booting into SYSNAND mode by pressing X.

OR

SECOND METHOD - Simply swap out your internal 3DS MicroSD card (which contains the emunand) with another plain MicroSD card that doesn't contain the emunand :)

I see, that explains why when I installed the cia it didn't work and all I got was a black screen. Thanks I think I got all the info I need to do this.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
