It was designed on NO$GBA, because smealum (as far as he has said) doesn't have a DS. So it should work best emulated. I am going to test it on IdeaS and DeSmumE soon.

:| ...why not put it to the test...just make an image to clip on to DeSmuME and test it for yourself...
-edit-
Oh right...we don't have anything we can test...but I'm at a loss of what the point emulating it would be anyways...If you are emulating it, you can play the computer version...to emulate it just to play it on an emulator...doesn't make any sense...

I never really use NO$GBA (Ive a DS lite & R4) but you should check the root directory setting. run some file browser in it, and then the files will correspond with ones on your PC. Put the testmap.map there

Yeah, i have a DSi and Acekard 2i, so, that's not the problem...the thing is, i want to emulate the game, but i'm not able to do it with no$gba, plus, i didn't quite understand what you said
Oh, btw, i was thinking about something....maybe smealum doesn't need to make a survival mode, he can just make a classic version, but with more stuff, and i mean, fun stuff, like; Signs, Ladders, Doors, Rails and Carts and some zombies or creepers (and just the basic weapons to fight them). And that's enough, and if we add to that a way for us to share our maps....well, that will be just perfect and we can forget about the crafting and all of that...
It looks better in-game, but the snapshot feature (being a work in progress) messed up the shot so I did a somewhat sloppy cut and paste from two separate images. That explains any weirdness you may notice in the pic, like gaps and the line at the bottom.

Hope you get better soon. Dr. Smealum will help soon hopefully.
As for those ideas, they would definately be better than survival mode. Plus, I would love to be able to download and share my maps in future versions.
How would you like for the save file, PMed? Also, few thing noticed:
1- If you are inside a block and jump, you are launched into the air.
2- Glass still has shadows
3- Holding "Y" to speed up time of day does not affect clouds
4- If you leave the selector on a specific block and leave it, you can use the actions of erasing and placing anywhere. (Does the selector even turn off?)
5- When looking inside the side of a block (the collision is a little off) the placer goes to the top of the block you are in, so even if you are facing a different way, it won't affect the placer.
6- Strange water glitch, probably just the collision again.
7- Screenshots are sometimes effed up. Also replaces bottom row of pixels with black line
8- The onscreen buttons shouldn't be able to be pressed while trying to look around.
19- There is no cake
Last night, I decided to make an innocent fort. Wood crates or w/e they are for the lower four blocks on all four sides, stone built up on the front and back, glass walls on the other two sides, lined torches along the top, a stone stairwell inside (about three stairs), a second floor, a weird thing made out of gold extending out diagonally from each corner and up into the sky. There was a wall of colored wool in a pattern on the bottom floor.
I saved, shut it off, and thought I would take some screenshots when I woke up and finished it off. I woke up, turned it on a little bit ago, and something went horribly wrong. The structure I made was broken by the game into one repeating pattern that extends from border to border on the land mass in the center of the map. I now can't go over it on the side that I spawn either. As soon as I try to go across the water, I get a Guru Meditation Error about halfway across. The one time I did make it all the way across the water, the game just froze.
Basically, I think I'm gonna give you the file you want in a little, as I think I effectively ended my ability to play a fairly solid chunk of the map.
I had this too. Try Wood R4 or HBMenu. It DEFINATELY works. I had the problem. Its to do with the R4s not supporting argv (the filing system in DSCraft)

It might be because of some code I haven't actually tested, but I need to see the stats to confirm.

EDIT: So, a question about emulating the game.
Is the game able to emulate well without bugs, or is it going to have to be on a flash cart?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The game runs well in no$ as long as it has a map file in its filesystem. However, no saving capabilities obviously.
<!--quoteo(post=3814517:date=Aug 4 2011, 08:51 PM:name=lucasade)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(lucasade @ Aug 4 2011, 08:51 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=3814517"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->It was designed on NO$GBA, because smealum (as far as he has said) doesn't have a DS. I do use no$ for testing a lot, but I don't think I ever said I don't have a DS. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
As for the clouds, yeah, they sometimes get "corrupt" right now because of invalid texture coordinates, it'll be fixed. (but maybe that wasn't your bug ?)<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah, about the clouds you're right <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yaynds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="yaynds.gif" />
About the torches, it's a lighting bug, i guess. What happens is that, i tried to put two torches inside a box and closed the box, but the light is still visible from the outside...
And there's more, there were one time that i've put a torch and then remove it, but the light was still there...
And when removing blocks, the shadow of those blocks stays in the place...
I've got some screenshots about all of that...
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I can confirm this too. Placing torch then bricks = light transparent bricks?
Also, If you trap yourself in a box, during day time, some walls are different brightnesses due to sun. They should all be dark, shouldnt they?
But other than these lighting problems, the game is very stable and fun <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> BTW: Autosave definately works <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
PS: What size is this map?
EDIT:
<!--quoteo(post=3811523:date=Aug 3 2011, 08:20 AM:name=smealum)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(smealum @ Aug 3 2011, 08:20 AM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=3811523"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Oh, and since the inventory works, I added a bunch of new blocks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> (colored wool, other types of wood, obsidian, moss stone, metal blocks...)

How did you turn the debugger off for these?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Eh, I was just using a different build in which I deactivated debugging info manually, there's no button for that in the version I sent you, sorry.
The map I supplied is 512*512. Bigger maps are supported, but as you can see 512*512 is already 32MB (although once compressed with something like winrar it shrinks to 1MB), so 1024*1024 is 128MB and 2048*2048 would be 512MB... so yeah, not sure everyone will want to play with maps that big. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
As for lighting : yeah, light can pass through blocks (well, not sunlight in theory, but that's still a little buggy). There's really nothing I can do about it, so that probably won't change, I'm sorry. That's why I made the torches' light radius small; combined with the fact that light takes faces' directions into account, it's not too much of a problem. Still, there are and will be light "leaks". :/
So, now I'm thinking that maybe I didn't get the whole test map. Everything about the download I made was broken. I'm gonna try downloading it again and see if things work differently. I mean, it seems like all the basic functions were there, but for some reason, I was only being given a 144KB (fully functional) map.
My internet was being weird as hell last night though. I'll try again and see if the result is any different.
