Thanks for PM! Testing now
How many stats files do you want from each of us, because I'm sure I could produce a lot...

Well just one per card/play session should be enough really. As long as you move around the map a lot it should gather enough data.Wizerzak said:Thanks for PM! Testing nowHow many stats files do you want from each of us, because I'm sure I could produce a lot...![]()
As long as you like. If strictly speaking about the stats, a few minutes of walking around (going as far as possible) and maybe building a few things (and then saving the map before saving the stats) would be nice.lucasade said:I am going to build a tower, walk away and come back to see how fast it loads it. Will the tower actually be saved though? Plus, how are saves loaded? Its all just for testing
You can either save by pressing the save button or by walking away (but, like, really, really far away) to have the autosave kick in.
And the game saves directly to the map file so that's how it's loaded...
QUOTE(Nathan Drake @ Aug 4 2011, 11:49 AM) Two questions:
How long do you want us to play for?
Uh...how do you look down? I can't quite seem to figure that one out.
Great! Thanks.Mbmax said:Just compared it on my DSi in dsi mode and on my DSlite in ds mode side by side. I can't see much difference speed.
The dynamic map is just amazing. Nice piece of code !
/me continue to test it ...

/me continue to test it ...Unfortunately, that was to be expected for the DSi thing. The DS and the DSi have the same GPU and neither of them can render more than 60 frames per second, so the game couldn't go faster.![]()
However, a special DSi version could one day be made to new features which require more ram or cpu power.
Also, just wanted to let you in on the fact that being able to see through blocks if you get too close to them can actually be handy to find caves. Just saying though.![]()
Check under the big lakes, they seem to be there.Nathan Drake said:smealum said:Thanks.Mbmax said:Just compared it on my DSi in dsi mode and on my DSlite in ds mode side by side. I can't see much difference speed.

The map isn't gigantic on the surface, so I can only assume that I have to dig a bit in the available areas to find the caves. I do think I remember seeing a hollow area while looking through a few blocks before I broke the game the first time. :3
Well, I'm gonna build some cool shit in the coming day or so. For now, it is late. I'll play some before I go to sleep though, and I'll play more tomorrow.
Just gotta say, the no limits on jumping are fantastic. Placing a block where you're standing results in an auto super jump too as soon as you jump to escape. Makes for a good time. xD

Same hereSir_Voe said:Sent a PM with my stat file. This new version is really nice. Wish I could play it for hours more, but it's 6AM where I am and I have to get some sleep. One thing: I was pleasantly surprised learn you could take screenshots. I didn't make anything worthy of capturing yet, but the option to show off your creations gives some nice motivation beyond self-satisfaction.
