I just got 2 4gig cards, but I think one of them is bad. One is a sandisk and formats quickly to 3.68gigs. The other is a kingston, but it has slight pauses at fixed points during format and copying to it doesn't seem as fast. It also shows as 3.76 gigs. I'm worried about having issues, so is there a way to check for problems with the kingston?

A lot of people are not aware of this, but computer uses IEC binary prefixes (which is based on 1024) while advertisement uses SI prefixes (which is based on 1000).

In another words, computer don't use GB, they use GiB.

Correctly, it is 3.68GiB in computer's mind.

3.68GiB = 4GB

So you are good.
