Mmmhm. You said you’re new to console modding. Okay. A little more systematically.
This is nothing you can (or should) rush. It takes time reading all these guides and tutorials and getting familiar with all the terms.

Although (in my opinion) not as good as 3ds.hacks.guide, Read the https://dsi.cfw.guide/ to get a better understanding of all this.

We need to know in what state your DSi and SD are at the moment. I did not get everything by reading across the latest posts. "nds-bootstrap not found" sounds like you did not merge the "TWiLigthMenu.7z:/_nds" folder with "TWiLigthMenu.7z:/DSi&3DS - SD card users/_nds" (the later folder contains nds-bootstrap) on your SD.
  • Have you installed unlaunch?
  • Make a NAND backup. Seriously!
    • Although you can’t easily (and shouldn’t) restore the NAND in software with the current tools, a backup is needed for HiyaCFW helper. This nice program will setup HiyaCFW and TWiLight Menu++ for you.
    • A NAND backup is the only possibility to restore the DSi (by hardmod/micro-soldering) in case something goes terribly wrong. I know… DSi consoles are cheap right now, but it is a waste to lose one.
  • For manually setting up TWiLight Menu++, refer to the official thread. (Click on the tab “Set-up (DSi users with Unlaunch and/or HiyaCFW)
As for the acekard 2i: It worked for me like a charm directly from the normal System Menu after installing unlaunch (cannot and will not do any further tests with that because I don’t want to wear down the small flash memory inside the flashcart by repeatedly changing the software on it).

Good luck.

I think I found the problem why the pit won't work on my jpn dsi. Everytime I reopen the camera, the app checks the sd card and created a new data management file. Erasing the pit. @shutterbug2000 do you know any solution to this?

You seem to have a "little" mess on your SD Card.

It is very difficult to help you now...

The way you "can" proceed is to backup your SD Card and download TWiLight Menu from her
actual Version is 8.2.3

and copy it over your SD Card (overwrite exist files).
It is not the IDEAL solution but it seems you have troubles with doing the Exploit again with your SD Card.

Best way would be:

- Backup your SD Card data on your PC (in case of nothing goes)
- Format SD Card with FAT32
- put the attached Files on it.
- make the Exploit like on the first site described
- install unlaunch 1.8
- make a NAND Backup
C

Ready to go.
Thank you.:)
I did everything but i dont understand what u mean with - make a NAND Backup

The HiyaCFW Helper is a tool that makes it easier to create the SD Card with the TWiLight Menu.It downloads everthing for you,all you have to do is then to put the ready to go SD Card in your DSi,power on and thats it.:)

But you don´t tell us what YOU have done:

- how did you get an uncomplete TWiLightMenu on your SD Card ?:(
- when you followed the Guide with the Camera app here, why don´t you tell us if you have unlaunch installed or not.:)

THE FIRST POST HERE SAYS:

Memory Pit is a new DSi exploit in the DSi camera!
Using it is very simple:
1) Download the attached file and put it in sd:/private/ds/app/484E494A
2) Put the hbmenu.nds file on the root named boot.nds (can't be unlaunch, it won't work. Unlaunch can be booted via hbmenu however)
3) open DSi camera, tap SD card at the top, and tap album
4) Done!

Did you do that as described ?

If yes, next step is as said INSTALL UNLAUNCH via hbmenu.
Did you do this ?
If NO please say it.

If yes, next step is to MAKE THE NAND BACKUP.
You say you DON´T do this Step. Here we get further when we please clarified the above points.:)

Please tell us.
Thank you.:)

Everytime I reopen the camera, the app checks the sd card and created a new data management file.
1) Your SD card must be 2 GB or smaller.
2) Format it using official software.
3) Check your card with h2testw.
4) Format it again as FAT32 with default cluster size.
5) Insert your card and start camera.
6) Poweroff your DSi and copy pit file to the SD.
7) Poweron your DSi and start camera.

this was the huge problem on my 1.4.5j dsi
You can't get english error text on japanese DSi. Japanese DSi/LL is a single japan language only. Recheck your FW.

#1 is totally not true but everything else is good advice. SDHC 4GB to 32GB should work fine.

If that doesn't work I'd try backing up your sd:/DCIM folder then deleting its contents, reintalling the hack pit.bin, and trying again.

my sd card is 8 gb, is this why i can't see anything when hooking something to the "no button" option ?
i just get the same old list :

no change
filemenu
rom cart
wifiboot
options
none
launcher
system settings
nintendo dsi shop
the rest of installed apps.

help please ?

exactly after step 15 of the guide :

https://dsi.cfw.guide/installing-hiyacfw

fixed, just use a 2 gb SD card, i was using an 8 gb one, formated to 2 gb partition only, does not work, someone on youtube claimed it was.
i also fixed a DSi XL with the "system error please hold power to turn console off", working like a charm now

So following the Dsi cfw guide i started not knowing that the camera tutorial hadnt been finished yet. loaded all data to card before hand and started to run the steps. i get into the camera tap sd card and i get a message saying, "The data-management file is corrupted. A new file will be created. ok" tap ok. then says, "creating new data-management file...". then says,"An SD Card process failed." anyone know what the issue is?

ok so both of my sd cards were corrupted since the new one i bought worked fine.

2) Put the hbmenu.nds file on the root named boot.nds (can't be unlaunch, it won't work. Unlaunch can be booted via hbmenu however)
How much does it weight that file? (I ask that way because I understand it is not legal)

EDIT: I got the exploit black directory screen but when I select boot.nds it just reloads the screen. Japanese DSi 1.4.4J.

EDIT2: Updated to 1.4.5J, same problem, im stuck.
