I've just got this memorycard in the mail.

It's basically a 32mb ps2 memorycard.
But you can turn it into a modchip by connecting it to your pc and flashing a special firmware onto it

I tried it on both fat and slim ps2 and both worked fine.
You just insert the memorycard into slot1 and your burned game will boot

Only downside is that you need to patch your .iso file before you burn the game and it only supports pal games atm.

i would also like to know if it works with any of the hd loaders out there, theres is a possibilty it might, it depends how and when it patches the routines, i'm sure it will be tsted in due course though.

NTSC games don't work for now but will be in their final release if I remember.

From what I've read, psx games do not work for now either. We'll have to wait and see if they'll make it playable in the future.

Still too expensive for my taste so I'll wait and see until it gets a bit cheaper, haha.

no its not, its a whole new exploit. even works on the ps2 slim!

ntsc games and psx dont work yet, but the final loader will come in a few days, and they say that ntsc support is fixed in that version. maybe also psx? you burn the games with a dvd video partition included, that triggers the exploit somehow and the game boots like normal.

Nice!

I was planning on buying a PS2 after XMas and installing those magic keys or whatever to use with Swap Magic, but this is way better!

After flashing with the special firmware, can the mem card still be used to save games?

I remember there was something on maxconsole a few months back that looked quite a lot like this. It was supposedly all singing and all dancing though but that is what I get for trusting them.

I doubt it as you need to boot the PS2 in PS2-mode in order to exploit the flaw and from there you can't get into PSX-mode that easily from what I understand.
