Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X to get anniversary cartridge re-releases

With the upcoming Mega Man X Legacy Collection, it's clear that Capcom is looking to capitalize on nostalgia. The company isn't stopping there, however, as Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X, considered as some of the best games in the franchise, will be getting a re-release in a new form. Retro manufacturer "iam8bit" is teaming up with Capcom to create a limited physical, cartridge-based re-release of the two classic games. These carts will function exactly as they did when they originally released. Mega Man 2 will get a NES cart, while Mega Man X will be on a SNES cart. They'll even play on NTSC original hardware, or clone systems designed to play NES or SNES games. There will only be 8,500 made, respectively, and there will be an even rarer "light blue" cart, of which only 1,000 will exist. Each will cost $100, and will include the reproduction game, a box, retro "surprises", and lastly, a manual for either game, written by Salvatore Pane (Mega Man 2) and Jirard "The Completionist" (Mega Man X). These will release sometime in September of this year, and will be available to purchase on "iam8bit"'s site relatively soon.

EDIT: They can be purchased here

Dont know if many ppl still have a SNES at home and really want to buy this cart.
Usually they will have a flashcart or use a cheap repro from china that you can rewrite with the right cheap equipment.

So this will be a pure colletors item.

*Suddenly has visions of the GBA getting "special anniversary games* *drool*

Eh. 100 à piece is a lil bit too expensive... except if the games emselves have something impressively new.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
