i have a softmod wii but when i load medal of honor it stops at the wiimote screen.i have read that you need to patch it with iso249 but i dont have a dvd burner.is there any way to load the game with the backup launcher using a disc swap,change options etc,or will i have to get another backup of it that has been patched.

install cIOS36_rev8 and it should solve your problem

installed cIOS36_rev8 how can i tell if it's been installed properly backup launcher looks the same after install.medal of honor still stops at wiimote screen.

You have to patch it to 249 and reburn it. No two ways about it. Yet.
