Gaming Mario and Luigi cracked cheat problem

Hello everyone !
I have a cheat problem with my cracked Mario and Luigi game.
The cheats don't work.
I can select them and all, but they don't work in the game.
I have an Acekard 2i and I use USRCHEAT.dat.
What should I do ?

(If there already is a topic about this, I'm sorry but I couldn't find it)

then i will suggest you to use akaio 1.5.1 + CLEAN ROM (non cracked or patched version of the game)
