Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin still freezes (using a Sandisk 512MB) when accessing a warp point.  Still have to test it out using Kingston, but it seems it still needs work.

Same here. (Apacer micro SD 1G)

Anyone else with the same problem?

I have a Kingston 1GB and an M3 DS Simply:

I went to the first painting in the game, where you have to forward+slide through a hole to reach it (DOWN + B). I pressed up when I reached the painting and transported to another world starting off next to a store called ..NY & SON (it was cut off). If this is the painting portal, I guess mine works! Maybe they'll update which card will work.

I'm getting an A-DATA 1GB Soon, so I'll be testing that as well. It was quite a deal. Money + Temptation = STD.

EDIT: It's call 'City of Haze'. I transported to the 'City of Haze'.

This is a fun game. I recommend that people buy it, if anyone likes action and hot heretic ladies.

I have no idea since I've never tried playing POR on a flashcart, only on my original cart that I purchased. But by warp points I think these guys mean blue rooms on the map, aka teleportation tombs. I don't think they mean paintings. Try it on a warp point first instead of a painting...and I hear entering and exiting menus freeze the game....once again just some suggestions, never played the game on a flashcart, I can load up my final save up when my m3 simply gets here to see what's up for the sandisk ultra vs non-ultra.

Well... problem solved.

The cause was FAT32 formatting.

I formatted my card with FAT and now game doesn't freeze at the warp zone at all.

Now wait a sec. I'm on FAT32 and was able to tombstone transport back and forth without any problems. hopefully I did it correctly this time.

"I tried to the tombstone transport from one part of the 'City of Haze' to another tombstone like transport (which is cool looking). Nothing froze. I was able to transport back and forth many times until I got bored..."

Now I doubt if there's a compatibility issue with my micro sd card.

Two quick questions:

1) This works on the DS (original) as well correct?
2) How well does the included USB card reader work?

Yes this works on the DS Phat and there are reports of the included USB Reader/Writer not working so if you are ordering you are better to be safe and already have one.

Got all 10 of my M3 simply today and they all work great. Now I have R4 ds, SCDS 1, Ninjapass x9, M3 simply, and a DSX. The best one out of all of them is the M3 simply\R4DS. If anybody needs the m3 files you can get it here

Public Service Announcement

Do not trim roms with either R4DS or M3DSS Rom trim tool for the following

576 - Pokémon Pearl (J)
577 - Pokémon Diamond (J)

It may cause Pokémon not to evolve at all. You will unfortunately have to use the 128MB rom and not the beautiful 58.5MB trimmed rom.
