Alright guys, I'm off to college after this year, and I'd like some advice on a laptop to buy.
I'm a gamer too, but my options are limited to these types.
So wut do you guys think?
I'm not extremely familiar with Leveno, and I'm leaning against Dell, so yeah.

Dammit a typo in the poll...

*Edit again*
So I've got a few in mind now (including the poll choices)
ASUS K52JR A1
ASUS UL80Vt A1
Toshiba Satellite P505D-S8960
Sony VAIO CW Series
HP Pavilion

HP is my last choice of the list.
Well, Dell is.
But I'm liking the ASUS stuff from what I see.

Asus has some pretty strong gaming laptops for very good prices.

+1 on Asus gaming laptops
also check out the Gateway P series laptops.
Specifically the Gateway P7805u. 3 hours of battery life + some pretty good gaming when plugged in.

oh and why are you limited to those two?
its not like other laptops cost any more.

I'm for the ASUS laptops as well. I had a ton of issues with an XPS "performance" laptop overheating. It might help though if you would specify what type of games you'd be playing that way people can look around with specs in mind. You could also look at "Dell Refurbished" as well. Most manufacturers tend to given student discounts as well, so that's something to look into as well.

I get some special discounts on them. Though I guess I can look into others. Where should I buy them from? Newegg? And I really don't like Dell, but they are an option, and I figure perhaps I am misinformed.

You could get better deals on used laptops if you look around using Craigslist.
If not just stick to the know retailers.

I'd personally say that you should get an HP or Toshiba.
But if your limited to these, then get a Dell.
You're much better off since they are made with gaming in mind.
