I've heard that smash will break circle pads on the 3ds. Is this still likely with a new 3ds xl? If so is there any modding workaround or anything? Also, what is the likelihood of someone releasing a modding solution for the most recent firmware?

Software doesn't break analog sticks, violent players break analog sticks (which are the same across all models)I've heard that smash will break circle pads on the 3ds. Is this still likely with a new 3ds xl? If so is there any modding workaround or anything?
There's already not one but three (hardmod, ntrboot, DSiware - this one with multiple variations on the theme), and they're unpatchable, which greatly reduces the interest in finding a fourth way based on a patchable 3DS-mode exploit (which is not guaranteed in the first place to exist, although one probably does)Also, what is the likelihood of someone releasing a modding solution for the most recent firmware?
"Above" 11.6 is hard since they don't existSo there are ways to hack firmware above 11.6?
