I didn't know it was coming this soon, but on the 4th next week on Tuesday it'll be up on the eshop. I'm not getting a physical copy cause I don't wanna wait long for shipping times. Is anyone else excited for this game? It's been a while since I first played it a year after it released. It really would be nice to play this with the improved loading times and 60fps. $60 is always so much for a game to me, sucks that games these days cost so much.

Though I have heard this games runs at 720p TV mode docked... Which is stupid since the Switch can handle so much more. Hopefully there will be a 1080p patch.

How are the loading times on the Switch version? Already played it and own it on the WiiU so little reason to replay/buy it again.

this just in whether you get the physical copy or not the game STILL requires a 13gb download data on to run and if you don't download it you can't even play it! what's the fucking point of a physical release than?!

fuck that not buying it than.

add option to poll: not buying a physical game if it still needs a download to run!

Where does it say that it needs an additional 13gb? That cannot be the case as some people do not connect their console to the internet.

WB being cheap on carts will most certainly backfire on them if they are wanting a Switch audience. I mean, DQH 1&2 is on a 32GB cart, and places were mentioning that the game in the US would retail for $60. This game (LCU) also originated on the Wii U at a price of $50.

The thing though is that as a fully-digital title, the eShop also says it's 7.1GB with no mention of needing 13GB extra like what this supposed warning on the physical package says. While it does say "To install the purchases product, you may need more storage than the amount listed here", that is listed for all digital games on the eShop, which is typical because you generally download more because of how installations are handled.

Between this, poorly optimized games on what is considered the easiest platform to develop for, and other companies charging $10 more for games on Nintendo platforms vs non-Nintendo platforms, it's almost like these companies are trying to sabotage Nintendo.

It's NOT gonna be 13GB. It just requires free space of 13GB or more to run properly. The download will most likely be 7GB as said in the eshop.

EDIT: It most likely requires 13GB for the process of downloading, uncompression and compression of files.

Even still, the fact that anyone with a physical copy has to "download" the rest of the game is just downright asinine. Reminds me of a game where I think only the tutorial was on the disc, and the rest of the game had to be downloaded.

I wholeheartedly agree. This is anyway seen on most physical PC games and some PS4/Xbox games, but it feels somewhat even more insane to include a cartridge and not have the full game in it. (unless it's just an empty box like the PS4/Xbox games, then it's the same case there)
