Hacking Lawsuits against downloading Wii games?

Not so much for downloading, but being caught uploading has attracted some legal action. Case in point: the gent responsible for one of the initial NSMB Wii leaks. He was hit hard, and with good reason - go after the source to stop the leaking. If only BP were as wise as Nintendo...

But who knows, you might get caught downloading if you do it. Because it's wrong. So, don't.

Haven't heard of anyone getting fined for downloading Wii Software, though i have read of someone in particular getting fined for uploading.

Torrents are not safe/anonymous, they fall under the same laws as other distribution methods (even moreso as you upload while downloading by default).

Haha, Sore one point for that. And for the record, I know how cliche this is going to sound but one of my close friends is the one who has been downloading- Not me. It just freaks me out a little bit and I'm trying to convince him to stop. Thanks guys

u can be fined yes, or u can receive a letter from your provider saying that they have unlimited traffic yes, but 482G in one month is just too much and if you do it again your gonna be charged...

i have never been caught with using cox, but Eatel i got warned 4times before they banned my IP, but that was 7years ago and not for games just movies...never been caught for games

Only retards who don't take proper precautions get caught pirating. Just take the stupid way like me and stick to direct downloads.

Anyway, it's more logical for people to go after uploaders than downloaders. It's like taking taking care of weeds. If you keep cutting them down they'll just keep growing back up. Rip it out from the root and that sucker is gone, until another weed takes its place.
