Ok i got my wii since release day and couldn't run an update because i have no wlan and no wifistick/datel lan adapter.
But i wanna play SPM. So my question: there are some games which do update the wii (like spm). Which pal wii game should i grab for the latest firmware, or for a 2.1E because this is the one i need for paper mario or not???

    Thankx for in advance!

    Don't do it.

I read that someone updated by ssx blur, didnt have internet connection and bricked his wii with the spm update.

    be warned.

Can't you ask to borrow someone's WLAN for a while to update? Or buy that 3rd party LAN adaptor
