Having a problem with the whole SRAM saving fuction, i have Snes9x setup so:

SRAM Auto Saving is ON
Wii SD
SD Slot

Yet i save my progress in Donkey Kong Country at the save point, reset the rom and my save is still there. But if i load another game and then load DKC again my save is no longer there, i have tried going to the save management screen and loading the SRAM and still it doesnt show my save progress in DCK. Any help?

I have the same problem you have, and on top of that, the classic controller doesn't work diagonally (like it would a VC game)

Is there any word on an updated version?

The Snes9x-v.2.5byLoPsT doesn't work well.

yeah...
1. it doesnt seem to run in pal60 because the colors are all messed up
2. it can't find the roms on my sd card

i'm using a pal60 2.2 channelversion. the colors are fine and it can find my roms but the controlls are weird. diagonal controlls dont work. oh and saving doesnt seem to work.

I'm using this one

i'm using the 2.2 version by lopst and falco with front load and wiimote support. It seem's to work brilliantly except for saving, I can't get this working at all. It always says unable to find etc.. I've created the correct paths on the root of the SD card, but no such luck. I think i'm using the same ver. as Stitch above. This would be perfect if I could get saves working

To save you usually have to select memcard and then choose SD Slot. I think it may just be an overlooked glitch or with the current libraries it was the only way to get the emulator to save directly to the SD by making it think it's saving to a memory card.

I'm having the same problem as well. However, maybe I misunderstood the point of the SRAM Auto feature...

It seems to just load the correct save file automatically for whichever game you load, that way you don't have to load the SRAM manually every time. It doesn't seem to save your file automatically though. I have to go to the SRAM menu and manually save it.

Is that how this updated version of SNES9x supposed to work? It just automatically loads your save files for you for whatever game you currently have loaded, but it doesn't save your save files automatically?

Hmm... the controls are important... I'll wait the next version, thank's anyway

I'm trying to make a nicely, detailed description for the Homebrew channel, but:

1) I can't figure out which version is the latest version of whatever version I should be using in the first place. (If that makes any sense)

2) I like to give credit to all the coders involved, but this program has been touched more than your average prostitute, so I can't figure out who did what.

im using 2.5 with the new channel

Does SNES9X support loading roms from a .zip/.rar?

The 2.2 version I currently use has zip support.

Do you know if this version Jax posted has zip support?

Actually, this one has all of Paradox's features and has long filename support and auto SRAM saving.

that's a wad. is there also the .elf file? I want to run it throught the homebrew channel

Right here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0PWXRVN1

It includes the source code (but you won't need that
