Sometimes I convince myself that a game has been delayed a week so I don't get annoyed waiting the day after it's release date. I just check it a week after official release and it's usually available.

You guys should try convincing yourselves that this game comes out on Monday... that way you can check on Monday and it will be around. Forget about it now...

cool, Do you have any instrument files for chiptune making?

oh through the years I tink i have brought together a quite complete collection of samples and the like, though the journey of assembling these gems is never over

oh, do you have any idea where I can get some simple instruments?

http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sound_samples

you can find plenty of that there, just be patient when trying them all out

Im really excited about this, im going to record a song using nothing but ds tools, jam sessions, korg ds-10, and band brothers.

I think its not a bad idea and get a freeware synth for PC and mess around with it to learn basics of digital synthesizers in the mean time you are waiting so when it comes out, you won't wonder about basics of synths.

Thanks but the samples was not what I actually meant, what I meant was instruments, like regular instruments that they use on chip tracks and are not .wav based.
(i.e. normal instruments)
Basically there are two types of instruments, sample based (which uses wav files) and "another", I'm after this "another".

hey guys, have been reading here for quite a long time and now i feel like joining

test84, i think you're looking for a synthesizer

take a look at these:

tweakbench for free, try especially peach, toad, triforce
quadraSID

these are vsti, don't know if you have a tracker or someting, otherwise this could come in handy.
i'm also waiting for the ds-10 to be released btw

tnx tatsujin, I'm using FLstudio for more than 2 years now and familiar with synth basics, I wanted to suggest other people take a look at these to prevent topics of like what is a saw-wave and etc.

EDIT:
thnx for synth links, I havent heard em all

test84, another good site to check out is kvraudio.com. You have to sign up, but it's free, and it has a huge database of freeware VST software instruments, including a ton of analog ones.

???????????????
Hi all,
since i am in Japan atm at my girlfriends place and she knew how much i was looking forward for DS-10 she had preordered me one some months ago on amazon here
wink.gif
So this morning a amazon package arrived XD
Opened it ,put the cartridge in my EU NDS and ; ; its region protected >< ><
So far i wasnt able to find a way to get it work on my own DS, tried to set language to japanese etc.
So im playing around with it atm on my girlfriend's DS and it rocks so bad ! Since i am from that Stoneage, that i played back in the days with the original Korg synths etc, its very cool to have that common interface back
smile.gif

If i can't find a way to get it work on my own one i guess i have to buy a used jp ds here....

????
Eiji_San

I have a jap DS and I can't get it to work, I get some weird japanese text and that's it.

I doubt very much it's region free as I doubt the DS hardware any any region specific codes.
