If kicktrading didn't have insurance on the package, it's not totally R4 team's fault. R4 team's fault is being careless to steady wholesale customer (meaning kicktrading) and not trusting kicktrading's lost shipment report.
I guess if both R4 team and kicktrading goto carrier to file claim or something they could solve it. If R4 team lets the carrier know they put a wrong address and Kicktrading proves that they're supposed to be the receiver. Isn't it illegal to keep wrong delivery in North America? I've rejected a couple wrong parcels because they're so easy to track and I don't wanna be charged for it.
And, if such a large shipment came from overseas didn't the wrong receiver have to pay import tax? Doubt it was marked "gift"
What are the chances of wrong receiver owning, or knowing that the shipment contained load of R4s, knowing what R4s are, and willing to pay import tax for wrong shipment all together?

kicktrading became kickgaming a while back, and they are located in canada, and about the liability of dhl, they are not liable for lost or wrongly labeled packages, unless they are insured and even then insurance is only up to 5,000 dollars, if the package was not insured they dont owe a penny, and dhl has dropped packages at my door even big ones without having me sign for them, one time i had to call and complain because they left it on my door when it was raining and the insides got wet, luckily it was a screw driver set but still if it had been a book or a electronic it would have been destroyed.

DHL either bills it directly to your account or sends a bill in the mail to you, usually some months later.

DHL is obligated to ensure the package gets to the recipient, in the case of a mis-delivery, they are indeed liable by their own terms - up to the declared value or $2 per pound if no value is declared. The thing is, it is up to the shipper to fix this, not the receiver (DHL will do next to nothing for the receiver). Basically, in my mind this seems to amount to them (R4) taking money for something which they don't seem to intend to deliver (even if all it requires is them fixing it by contacting DHL).

BTW: DHL does not provide insurance as far as I know, but they are liable by their terms to the declared valuation (or $2 per pound) and will add surcharges based on the declared value. So in a way it could be viewed as insurance, but it technically is not (at least, not for the shipper/receiver, unless they go to a 3rd party insurance agent).
