Frankly, this isn´t the right time to blow the switch completly open. This would only scare away game developer studios.

Sounds more like you're looking for an excuse to bash a platform like a twat. Not this again. Do you realize the small percentage of the user base that can take advantage of the smhax vulnerability? Piracy is eventually possible on every platform. The Switch has WAY bigger cons in the eyes of devs than .1% of the user base being able to pirate launch window games (games that require 3.0.0 or below). The vulnerability has been fixed so that argument doesn't even make sense. Sounds like fanboys are looking for something to blame for devs lack of interest in bringing inferior versions of their games to a novelty platform like the Switch.
Mfw people still think it's a novelty even after how well it's doing. And people who buy the switch understand and expect the switch version won't be as good graphically. But the switch version is also portable, which is why I now find myself buying the switch version for most multiplats. We trade some graphic fidelity for being able to take it with us.Not this again. *See PSP/DS, vs. 3DS. Historically, the PSP and the DS to a lesser extent were crippled by piracy in the later stages of their life cycles because it was extremely easy to do and there was no way to patch it or combat it. For the DS, this was largely irrelevant as the system in and of itself had sold so much hardware and software that it became one of the most successful systems in history regardless. For the PSP, this led to really rigid blowback from Sony in attempts to control their system to prevent a PSP rerun which didn't fare as well as the DS. The 3DS is also blown open but has experienced considerably smaller (piracy) scene (even though you could literally download the titles from the server) because it is nowhere near as easy or convenient, and was prone to the same cat-and-mouse game.
The PSP and VITA died because Sony will not support their portable systems with actual games. There are a small number of actual good games on the psp and the ports that were from a another console was just a cheap completely different game. That's why they failed. PERIOD. Piracy and homebrew are what made the PSP sell.
Now the Switch will be just like the DS and it will sell whether it has piracy or not. Nintendo just supports and makes their handhelds amazing to where people want to pay for games. And the Switch is their new handheld. The DS/3DS will be phased out without a replacement.
Nintendos best console in a long time, and people still think it's a novelty or a toy. Kind of funny.
I thought the Wii U was infinitely better. It was just very poorly marketed. I think the Switch will be like the Wii in that many users will think it's cool at first but will wind up throwing it on the shelf to collect dust.

Ok dude...Wii U infinitely better than the Switch... yup you couldn't be any more right... /s
1. Joycon isn't the only controller switch hasI don't understand how anyone can stand using the joy-con. No dpad and transitioning from the face buttons to the right thumbstick is terribly awkward.

you mean the fucking etcha-sketch?-comes with a usable controller
-has value added features (video, web apps)
-comes with a usable controller
-more powerful for the time
-supports USB storage
-second screen is a useful feature (in the games that use it)
-power adapter terminates in a regular plug, not a fucking wall wart
-console can be turned off and on with the controller (just sleep/wake with Switch)
-WiFi isn't shit
