I would like to know that if after installing the Homebrew Channel, along with the other software, do I leave the SD card inside the Wii when I turn it off and put it away, especially if I'm a 100% sure that I won't need any more programs for my modded Wii?

Thanks.

So will the Homebrew channel be installed within the Wii's internal storage?

As well as the programs (i.e. Startpatch, Hermes cIOS, and uLoader), or do they just remain on the SD card, waiting to be launched by the channel while being on the card?

Thanks.

How "limited (or rather, "how much" :) )?

The original Wii has 512MBytes of internal NAND space.

Homebrew applications stay on your SD card, not the Wii itself. The only exception to this rule is if you install a channel which contains a homebrew application (they're usually forwarders, meaning they're a very tiny homebrew loader which loads an application from your SD card instead of the Wii's internal memory). The vast majority of custom homebrew-made channels are forwarders, however (since it's infinitely easier for the user to update a file on the SD card, instead of removing a channel on the Wii, then installing the updated one).

You best use modmii for windows to get the files needed for modding yoiur wii.
Seeing your post you should know that hermes cios is very old and nowadays hardly used anymore.
The best cios toinstall is d2x cios.
This ios is capable of loading 99% of allwii games to date and wlso enqblres you to use emunand, wich enables you to save your savegames on your harddrive.
Please do notfollow any youtube installing guides as they arer almost ndver up to date.

So once again use modmii for windows by xflak to get your files and generate a custom installation guide.
Tel modmii you are softmodding a branc new that is never been softmodded before.
Before using modmii make sure to tell modmii to get the latest d2x beta cios.you can find the setting under the cios setting tab.
Also make sure yiunuse the modmii classic gui as it gives you more options. The mouse operated guiwillnot let you change options.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in

    it's dumb

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
