Hacking just dance 2

so i borrowed my friends just dance 2 game loaded it on my hard drive useing usb loader gx as i went to the game i got a message can't open big file any1 else have this problem and if any1 has fixed it i have nstc 4.1

oh and i have just dance 1 and it works fine

What version of usb loader GX do you have?

I had the same issue ""Can't Open Bigfile"
Game worked fine from disc but after dumping it 3-4 times it still wouldn't work.

I tried willflow as a test and it worked no problems.

The version of usbloader I was using was rev843, so I grabbed the latest version rev938 and it works fine, kids are happy.

I then tried to make a channel using "Loadstructor-1.7+cLoader-1.6" and then I got the "Can't Open Bigfile" message again.
I then tried using Crap3.3b and installed the channel and still got the "Can't Open Bigfile" message.

So, its working fine with the latest version of usbloadergx but I cannot get a channel going and was going to ask the question in the loadstructor/crap threads.

To get this working with WiiFlow - do I need to have the file on a USB drive, or will it work with a burned DVD? I haven't gotten a USB drive hooked to my Wii and just tried a burned copy.

Couldn't have said it better! But still, can't dismiss GX altogether. Competition is always nice to have. If the CFG team had a monopoly in the USB loader department, they could get lazy and relax their standards.

The game works flawlessly for me with CFG v.60 and CIOS 249 v.20 (base 56).

This is not about which usb loader is better.
It works fine with usbloadergx and hell, I'm only running 249rev14

Trying to create a channel using crap or loadstructor fail as they are based on cloader 1.6.
Gecko OS 1.9.3.1 failed with the same message trying to launch from the retail DVD.


Even earlier versions of Wiiflow get the same error..

Today this problem can be solved with some extra configuration for wiiflow lite v5.4.8, however, if you don't want complications, CFG-USB-Loader loads it without problem.

For wiiflow lite, I did the following ...


In general configuration:
Startup Settings -> Force cIOS load -> On


In game specific settings (Just Dance 2)
cIOS -> 250 (d2x v10beta52 in base 56)
Language -> Default
Video Mode -> Default
Patch Country String -> Disabled
Vipatch -> off
Patch Video Modes -> None
Aspect Ratio -> Default
Hook type -> VBI
NAND emulation -> disabled
480p pixel patch -> off

Just got the same error using blackb0x's latest version of GX (edit: v5 mod from Feb 2021), I had to adjust some settings as described here to get it working
