ROM Hack Just a fast Question

Since this is Rom Hackin and stuff ijust wanted to know how can i but save files cause im stuck like i got The .sav file but it wont work on it for somereason says something about corruption with the archive is that because of my r4 that its affected like that (not enough space etc) or is it just the file? because when i did put the .sav file on it worked perfectly but playin is the problem.

All I got was... he has trouble with his save files. It says they are corrupted so he replaced it and it works fine, but then he says playing with the save file is a problem.
