my usrcheat file is too large to edit, plus when i tried to make a new usrcheat exclusively for the (U) version, it just showed a blank black screen, so if anyone out there know's how to successfully use the jap cheats on the u.s version, please tell me
after messing a bit with the SOUND folder between the USA and JAP roms, i realised something...
-Japanese's BGM is softer compared to USA version (either that or USA's BGM is enhanced in some way...)
also noted that the game's BGM is situated in the SOUND folder as well...
so...
my 2nd attempt was, instead of replacing the sound folder with the USA's sound folder, I went ahead and replaced the VOICE folder (inside the sound folder) instead...
result? I get Japanese voice actors with Louder BGMs
looks like my way of replacing the VOICE FOLDER is correct..
NOW NOT ONLY DOES MY GAME HAVE JAPANESE VOICE ACTING WITH ENHANCED BGM, MY VERSION NOW PLAYS VOICE ACTING DURING SPECIAL EVENT CONVERSATIONS!!! (which by the way, the USA version lacked or forgotten to put it in...i've played all the way to chapter 5 with normal USA rom with no voice acting in conversations!!!)
I've tried patching it by myself but i'm always getting a nds.tempnew file. Is that supposed to happen? What am i supposed to do from here? lol sry i'm totally new to this xD
::EDIT::
Hmmm ok scratch that I was able to patch things up. But now how am I able to use the cheat codes? I've tried to put in the game id that I changed but it still doesn't work. Again sry for my noobiness.
