Hacking Is there currently any DML Forwarders?

If your not "a fan" of AbdallahTerro channels (which are like they were ported to the Wii), then maybe someone could have ago at making Virtual Console-like channels which auto boot.

Yeah I'm also no real fan of it, so I now made a VC-style one for wind waker:

That's amazing! You should make some more for some popular games.

Edit: for those wondering, these are forwarders (perfectly legal) which work through a stand-alone launcher especailly for DML and not actual VC Games, they could be considered prototypes for the WiiU (if they still use the same format).

I somehow dont like to use the n64 style so I changed it to my own one now :P

Channels will follow ;)

I think, that looks alright. I'll have a look at them once you've uploaded it. Has the link been updated, by the way?

Is the channel sound custom (similar to AbdallahTerro's) or is it like the original VC Channels?

Just finished v0.8 :)

New things are that the new timeout if autoboot is enabled is 3 seconds, thats enough ;) You can now also control the menu via gamecube controller (thats helpful, believe me :P), I added the gamecube language as option now, as well as the video mode, you can now set them to what you want :) Also if autoboot is enabled, it will search the game with the region specifed on compile first, if this game is not found it will search for the game in all other regions, means one channel works for all regions now.

I also updated the wind waker channel:

Have fun :)

I like the big Title screen look.
On USBLoaderGX we are using the internal save logo to create the banner, but it's very small.

If you place the GameID6.bnr in GX's cache_bnr folder, it will use that channel animation instead of the one from the loader. (Future feature for Gamecube channels)
If you can, provide the bnr file along the wad, I'm sure users will love to have the choice between wad or bnr, and between user created banners and USBloaderGX tiny one.

Easy Alternative for those who don't want loads of indivdial channels:
DML Loader v8 Channel

Enjoy! :)

Edit: I found this out last night: when you select the channel, don't press either + or - as it will brick the console.

Although... despite this error, the channel should still work anyway, without any other problems.

Edit2: another thing to add... I didn't originally create this channel, I only injected the complied dol using CustomiseMii.

can you explain how the check for games in other region is done, I'll give 2 examples:
Animal crossing we have 4 options ends with 01: gafE01 gaeP01 gafJ01 gafU01
Resident Evil Zero we have 2 ends with 08: gbzE08 gbzE08

Is only letter #4 the one that gets checked or the last 3

Thank you again for this cool update ;)

It's the same for all Nintendo games.

GXXP01

G (Plateform) : Game cube
XX : Title ID
P/E/J/U/F/X/etc. : Region
01 : Publisher code (01 is Nintendo, 08 is Sega, 41 is Ubisoft, etc.)

The publisher can be different in each region, so don't rely on it to detect dupe.

To load all regions check only the first three letters.

If it's possible and been considered, would it be possible to add support for the "new" DML?

Also... How about a integrated NMM save manager as well? If it's possible, could you be able to recreate the NGC IPL with additional features which are already included?

Edit: I found this out last night: when you select the channel, don't press either + or - as it will brick the console.

Really? Please tell me theres a way to fix that... Kinda scary to know that with one press of a button, even accidental, you could fuck up your Wii forever :(

The banner brick is an easy fix, these obviously werent fully tested before posted, im not talking about removing the channels to fix the brick but fixing the actual channel .wad so it works and doesnt give who ever uses the forwarders a shit fit
