if anyone can let me know I'd appreciate it. I know there is a thread about the new update but I don't even know what half of it means because I haven't followed the 3ds scene for a long time so I'll stick with gateway for now. Thanks for the help.

Currently yes.....but people here will tell you to stop using gateway anyway because its sead to have a brick code built within the flashcard.
