A sticky won't help as a lot of people don't read stickies. Update to the latest Luma, then you'll be safe to update to 11.2 on your sysNAND or emuNAND.

I would say yes, it has always been. I'm on 11.1.0-34E personally, but since we have reports on Pokemon Sun/Moon working, and I saw a thread about someone installing A9LH with Plailect's guide (which includes an update part) not that long ago it should be safe. Still, you should wait for confirmation.

Whenever an update is released, there's always a thread mentioning whether it's safe or not (the ones with hard mods available always update first and tell us because they can downgrade again/restore a backup if it goes wrong).

Currently it's safe to update to 11.2. For future updates, wait for the update thread to appear and see what the outcome is.
