Hacking Is it safe to Install IOS55

well i really wanna play onslaught, but I need to install ios55 i have the IOS55-64-v4633.wad and plan to install it to a wii with 4.1 and preloader. Is installing IOS55 a safe thing to do, or could it really screw up my wii?

Depends on where you got the wad from. If it's a 'good' one you'll be fine.
Safest way is to download it using Nusd: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader

im pretty sure you can use dop-ios v7 to download and patch it as well.

well i can't use nusd because I have a Mac, and I got IOS55 and the game from here

well i used dop but there was an error (http or something) but the game plays fine now.

what was the error all about?
