Hacking Is it safe to do software update on Mario Odyssey with CFW?

I have done all the backups except 'kezplez' as noted in this guide. https://gbatemp.net/threads/backup-...-your-biskeys-tseckeys-keys-txt-guide.513386/ I am on firmware 4.0.1 and running Atmosphere. Is it safe for me to do a software update for Mario? TIA

Edit: Correction I am on 4.1.0 firmware. Also AutoRCM is enabled.

Install updates via choinx. This will prevent fuse burns in case you may want to downgrade later.

Use lockpick to get all keys btw.

Just so I'm clear. Are you saying that even software updates (not firmware) will also burn fuses?

Game updates may require a newer firmware if they were created using an updated SDK. So you may update a game (that ran perfectly fine on 4.1.0), then when you try to run it, it asks you to update the firmware. Or just doesn't start.

I also agree with updating your Switch to firmware 6.2.0 using ChoiDujourNX, install AutoRCM (so you don't accidentally boot stock fw and burn fuses) and then you're good to go on any update for any game. Why limit yourself to only games that came out before 4.1.0?

No but if the game has a higher fw requirement you will have to upgrade to play it.
