If it was supposed to extract a billion .bin files from the pkb/pkh files, then the tool works for me.

Yeah the tool should work like phoenix said, it extracts a lot of files from the pkb/pkh...
Really, i don't know, but if i can't find the error, i'll just make a console application, without the GUI... :(

It may be something they're doing. It worked perfectly fine for me.
 
Can you post a screenshot of the file before opening it?


EDIT: Is there any files that's supposed to be in the same directory as IETools.exe?
 
Roxas. I think you set the program up to use the runtime library. Maybe try doing this to solve the side-by-side configuration problem.
change your project settings to not use the runtime library, but this will make the output .exe larger.
Project Properties -> C/C++ -> Code Generation -> Runtime Library -> use/MT or /MTd depends on your current configuration.
