To clarify:
This is a different kind of Nag.
The Classic Nag is when your console downloads an update, and it shows you that you have to update your console. You can bypass this by simply going through the recovery mode, which deletes the downloaded update. Classic nag:

Then there is this thing, which i call the Super Nag, we tried everything, but nothing seems to remove it. It basically shows that you have to download the latest update first, and it blocks you from doing any online activity.

@jjbredesen "pin" this, it may be useful to recognize the nag

I had to check my switch to make sure I had put it on airplane mode. Apparently past self was smart and put it in airplane mode right after being done with the homebrew launcher.

Then you r good! Just don't actually use the HBL until we know more.

Block your Switch from accessing the internet on your router and host everything locally to exploit it.
I'm not sure this is something that can be done on my crappy router. I'll wait a few days to see how its going, then if no easy way is found I may dig into that.

Advanced Tomato and DDWRT (CFW for routers) add a lot of nice features to many other wise crappy home routers, your router might be supported.

I use pfSense which you can just about run on any old PC with two network cards, or even in a virtual machine if you have a home server.

Hopefully something is worked out soon, if not you have a few good free to cheap options :)

Either way with Fusée Gelée I can't see this been a long term issue.

Is it to at least safe to login online to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the daily gift? Until the next system update? (Reminder I'm on the latest FW.)

Just unplug your internet cable until you're done doing what you need to. Congrats - You've made you're own private intranet!

So... If I understand all of this correctly.

There is no way to tell if a 3.01 - 5.01 Switch has been affected or not at this time.

You COULD tell if a 3.0.0 Switch has been affected by setting up a fully offline web server hosting the exploit and trying to run it that way. If you can still run it.... Successful exploit = Not affected

Am I missing anything?
