I have a question. What do you mean in point 2 about "I used to do the system transfers with a system with no NNID and that wipes the info from systems anyhow"? I've made several DSiWare transfers with no NNID in the past and they've all been successful without losing my data in my source console (restoring a NAND backup of course), and the target console should be formatted before the transfer anyway, if they have a NNID linked.
Also, nowadays the process from start to end shouldn't take more than 1 hour. Anyway, I understand your stance about it.
The processes time is subjective depending on how big the SD cards are. They need to be formatted unless you're just sticking the source SD card in the target console; which I doubt you'd be doing if it was for a customer. You'd still have to backup their data.

I agree with that 100%. For me it just depends on what the end user wants. If they had an emunand I always do a full format with PC tools to clear the entire partition and reallocate data. If their SD card was like 64GB and full, it takes a good while to transfer the files back.

It would be the better choice to buy a 2DS and then sell it later for 99.9% of people. I would feel bad offering the option for me, since it would be helping people make a worse financial choice. And yet they had a post office to make it more convenient to post something.

With the cost of older model 3DS becoming cheaper and cheaper. I can understand your concern. I've had some really good deals on the 3DS's I've purchased. For most people, i guess it would be the best option and i'm more than willing to put that disclaimer at the very beginning of the thread. (If it gets made.) I never really thought as this process being expensive. I don't know how much shipping would be or the time it takes for someone to meet others and hack their consoles on the spot. As far as costs went, i just thought as compensation as necessary. It seems from your advice, meeting in person would be the cheapest option. lol. But meeting in person is a whole other issue on its own with it's own set of concerns.

If a 2DS is the best option, then it's the best option and I will happily have it as the first thing on the thread. And if there is a niche amount of people who would prefer to take a different rout, then more power to them. If anything, the cost of how much a helper is willing to charge as well as any possible shipping costs should be the determining factor. And in the end, it most likely will be the 2DS. I guess the only way to know is to find out.

She brought to my attention that buying a 2DS is a very cheap and affordable option for getting your device hacked. On a 2DS, you will most likely drop about $80 (USD) for the system with an additional $2 (USD) for the game needed to perform a DSi Transfer. Now while many people are still wanting to offer service to people, THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST CONSIDERATION. My main goal here is to help others and it would be a disservice to give people a bad deal. So before taking any action involving your wallet, consider whether it would be better for you to purchase a 2DS. If you find someone who is willing to help, consider the cost of a 2DS and how much it will cost you for this person to help. The goal is for people to save money, not waste it. (This is to be no disrespect to those wanting to help. If you were in their shoes, what would you choose)

You could try highlighting the text then clicking the button that is a T with a small x next to it. That would clear formatting (hopefully including colours) so it might display in default colour which I am guessing is white for dark theme users.
