Idea for homebrew app to decrypt .sav without .3ds rom

    Savedatafiller works by detecting a cart and then dumping the correspondingly loaded .sav on the cart.

    If this is the case, is it possible to make a cia that is able to load a selectable .sav from SD and then use it as a save file?

    Then, we would be able to use savedatafiller or similar apps to decrypt the save and the reinject it back into the actual cia game.

    I think you want to look up JK's Save Manager if you're after a way of extracting and injecting saves from installed games.

    Ohhh right, never mind. I don't understand why they encrypt their saves.
