No, it has a extra processor built in that would allow it to run more intensive emulation tasks and other things not likely to run well using stock hardware.

Come on they finally released the DSTWO it has plenty of features for you to play around with for now, let them make the SNES Emulator nice and pretty. Before then I'd like to see them fix a few things up for the GBA Emulator.
