i want to play gta chinatown wars on my ipod touch

Ok so I have my iPod touch 2g with 3.0 fw jailbreaked. I was going to pirate gtacw but the requirements say I need at least 3.1 fw. My question is, is there a way to bypass that requirement by editing the .ipa file somehow?

If that's not possible, can I upgrade to fw 3.1 and be jailbroken? Will I lose anything?

you can jailbreak 3.1 now. im not too sure if you lose anything. but im going to try it out once i get home.

You will not loose anything to update just plug your iPod into your iTunes and press Update. It will remove all your Cydia apps but you can back them up somehow forgot though. You would also loose your Jailbreak but then you could jailbreak is again with blackra1n.

Yeah 3.1.2 is jailbroken. Just backup apps on iTunes, update, run blackra1n, sync everything and profit.
