I lost the drive where I had my NAND files backed up, so I tried backing up everything again, but whenever I load nanddumper and press A after selecting everything to back up, I immediately get sent back to the desk top. I'm not sure what could be causing it, and I never remember having any sort of problem doing this the first time.

Good rule of thumb get a thumb drive put backup on it and never touch it again

The nand dumper won't work if you launched a cfw beforehand.
Just boot up your console and launch the homebrew launcher using the web browser exploit or hold A while launching haxchi if you have it and then launch the nand dumper.

Nope. The nand dumper works without cfw.

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid

I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much

Yea that crazy, I've never tried hack into anything, I just pirate, and my ISP have send me 3-4 letters, so had to VPN it
