Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis...

Its an extremely rare disease that will destroy my internal organs and cause my lungs to burn to a crisp. I will be facing agonizing pain for the next 24 hours until the disease finally makes its way to my rectum. Once there I will be beyond hope. I'm afraid I only have one day to live... Thus I shall spend the day attempting to beat syobon action and cheetah men to be remembered as a hero.

My older sister actually taught me to pronounce that word when I was about 8 years old.

Here's how it was broken down for me to pronounce:

Pneumono/ultra/microscopic/silico/?volcano/coniosis OR [noo-muh-noh-uhl-truh-mahy-kruh-skop-ik-sil-i-koh-vol-key-noh-koh-nee-oh-sis]

Supposed to be the longest word in the English language.

Yeah, it still is, here you go:

That was one of our spelling words in 8th grade.

On another note, this thread is really unfunny to people who have had loved ones who were diagnosed with/who died of a serious terminal illness (like me.)
