Dear Blog
Today we went out and ate some live squid.
I took a video of it squirming on my plate before sticking it in my mouth just for you.

I then went to the chocolate fountain and dipped pineapple on a stick in it and ate that. Once finished, I looked at my plate and saw that my mess had made a face so I took a photo of that for you too.

Oh and yesterday I ate some of these

They both weren't that bad, except with the squid I left it for a second on my tongue and it suckered on to it and I thought "ohshi- this is how I die", so I put my life on the line and chewed like there was no tomorrow.. That showed it who was boss.

Love,
moozxy

Is that bottom picture some type of pupa? I've seen that before...

EDIT: That's right, I found it here

The worst thing I've ever eaten was Natto (which I ordered by mistake the last time I was in Japan). A lot of people I know really like it but I couldn't deal with it. Too spiderwebby.

I would try live squid though, I love any type of squid.

Oh why do people eat octopus alive? I mean, what part of "cooking" do they not understand?
I think I'll gag if I put a live octopus in my mouth. I love Sushi but that's kind of a different story.

I have tried cooked insects when I was travelling various countries in Asia, I had that pupa thingy in Korea and was just soso. If I had a choice, I'd go with male mosquito's eyeballs over that.

Don't get too grossed out though. What's the difference between French eating snails and Koreans eating pupas anyway, one's done in restaurants and the other's street food?

A lot of food colors are made with bug juice too, and they're called "food colors" because they don't wanna say "beetle gut juice" (whatever color that would be).
