I have an R4ds and would like to install a cheat software for pokemon just the usual master ball etc is there anyway I could get these for my ds with a r4 card

You should have a file called "usrcheat.dat" in your Cheats folder, inside the __rpg folder of your kernel. With that, you can put cheats on your roms. The interface of the card allows you to put the cheats you want so clearly and easy.
