There aren't that many PPC kernel exploits left, and it is valuable to keep as many stockpiled as possible, especially when IOSU does everything a kernel exploit does plus more. I do, at this point, have more than one kernel exploit, so I could release it, but I'd rather focus on picking up the pieces of Hykem's IOSU exploit, in case he doesn't return.

would u release it for 200dollars

Thanks for your reply and your feedback in general is awesome! Do you have any news on Hykem? I recall some days ago you said you haven't talked to him. Does this still apply?

Couldn't you release a kexploit for now and then work on the iosu if hykem disapears or gives up?

Again, why should he?
Why shouldn't he?
He literally said "I do, at this point, have more than one kernel exploit, so I could release it"
All I'm trying to understand is why not release it then if he even makes it seem like holding on to it is pointless.
If he's going to work on the iosu stuff what's the point of holding on to multiple kernel exploits? He could make tons of people happy and it sounds like it would be at no loss to him.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I am planning to start work on IOSU this weekend: as for the kernel exploit, I'm still deliberating what to do with it.
thank you for the quick reply. It's nice when devs in the scene stay in touch with us :P

Good statement, I have to admit. :)

Do you have access to the same IOSU exploit as Hykem, continuing from where he left off, or starting from scratch with a new bug which you discovered? Also, if Hykem somehow decides to not release, will you release your kernel until your IOSU is finished? :)

I think releasing the kexploit will makes it more interesting for you to work on iosu, like in a psychological way. Cause when you already have some kind of solution on one hand, you're not that motivated to find another one. Hope i expressed my idea clearly.

I dont want to sound desperate or needy. What I will say is the guys working in the 5.4.0/5.5.0 progress thread are going gangbusters with homebrew and loaders etc to not just work but work really well and if you could be so kind to release one of the kexploits I think that the progression will increase incredibly and these guys will learn a lot more while they are at it. We all want Iosu, but these guys are doing a great job and will love to have it I'm sure.

I'm just waiting until it releases, just because I want to get a game from the eshop without risking a possible update
