I heard a good one about how to explain "why did you lost the baby"? (before birth I mean)
It was something like :
Well, you know, pregnancy is a bit like a video game
You must find key to unlock different part of the game
and once youve got all key, you can go out of the belly of the mother
Unfortunatly, this baby couldn't find all key

We have had to broach the subject before.

Simple statements, answer the inevitable questions, no mystery/sugar coating was the path chosen. I don't know that it was the right one, all I know is that when it happens again that I will do it again should I be tasked with such things.
