The word "translate" isn't the best word to use for this.

It was just luck that a full English script was in those 2 games.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Did you ever get a chance to run the trace FAST? I'm all set to start the manual translation, but I wanna be sure there's not already a switch before I do so. :/

I had not done much since last playing around but I just gave it a go.

I can not find any pointers in the rom; tried with and without the 08 and using specific pointer 0DEF76 both the upper (as in 76EF) and lower parts (0dEF) to try and get a range, no joy on any front.
Looked for 0011 and then tried to see if there were matching pointers/something obvious, no joy but my attempt can probably best be described as half assed.

Your example is quite late in the game so I will have to try something earlier in the game or see if I still have some savegames. Edit, I just found one you gave me in 2007 which I can call the screen in your example with: http://www.4shared.com/file/90004323/68ae8...agi_Nation.html

I did notice the text sections in your example have a list of slightly increasing numbers before each section, this is often a pointer location and it is not unheard of for pointers to be constructed (these would be an example of relative pointers on the GBA).
The fact the text has language flags (the 10 - 11 thing you mentioned) would indicate some parsing is going on at some level.

Back on topic no pointers means I can not specifically target the memory section (it is no problem to add one for the mirrors but annoying none the less) and with the earlier in the game thing still happening...
