Hacking How to read mxs and dsp files???

I recently extracted the game files for Mix Superstar (I legally own it so i dont think there's a problem) so I could listen to the music loops but then found out the files are .dsp and .mxs.

I found out how to play .dsp files with winamp but some of them don't work but most of the files are .mxs and I can't find a player or converter for it, does anybody know something about it please??

having the same issue, vlc can't open it and it sounds like raw data when read by audacity. probably some kind of compressed audio file

Are you trying to open the mxs files? Some time ago I looked through the files with a hex editor and they're just dsp sound files with some code to add silence to save space. You could split the audio files by locating every dsp header in the mxs file, but that's painfully slow, and I don't know how many milliseconds or frames of silence it adds on every mxs file.
