So! Nzone stopped working abruptly after a year of being fine, throwing the by-now infamous msxml3.dll error, and updating didn't fix it, so I thought I'd give the VM version a try, but it's not working either; wlan0 simply doesn't show up! My adaptor is, as you can see, 0bda:8176, aka RTL8188CUS, which, at least theoretically, appears to fall under the supported rtl8192cu driver? But I'm a total novice at Debian! So, I've reached the end of my expertise! Help?

Looks like a bad luck, somehow addresses are regestered by ICANN to localhost. Moved to dynu.net with no problems, but I suppose that is not for long, so change it manually just to make sure that is no automated block.

So as someone who is quite new to DD-WRT firmware, is anybody able to tell me if a TP-Link MR3020

RAM 32 MB
FLASH 4 MB

has enough space to host a homepass script that changes the MAC lets say every 10 minutes?

I am always getting this error when attempting to run the auto-mac-cycling code on my TP-link MR3020 SVN revision 21061

Code:
/bin/sh: eval: line 3: /tmp/nzone.sh: not found

I have been trying for a good 2 hours to figure out a workaround for it, but everything i've tried gives the exact same error.

I have tried setting DNS to 8.8.8.8, as well as several variations of the command

Hi, I'm a new user. I had a 3ds (from the day1) but few months ago it broken, so now I have a new 3DS xl, but I have lost all the data of the StreetPass plaza... I had a lot of Miis, hats, costumes and puzzle :_(
Searching online I found this method to do "homepass".

I have first tryed the "Guide#2" in the section "Windows 7/8". It worked for the Nintendo Zone: I see it and it works if I enter in. The problem is that the StreetPass doesn't work. I left the 3ds in standby more than 5 minutes, but no green light.

I also have a machine with Ubuntu, so I tryed also the Method 1 (NEW) and Method 2 of the first post.

For the Method 1, I had an error when I do the command
Code:
sudo /tmp/nzone.sh BASE256,GBATEMP
the error is:
Code:
/tmp/nzone.sh: 1: /tmp/nzone.sh: Syntax error: redirection unexpected

For the Method 2, it works for creating the web "attwifi" (I also tryed to connect to it with smartphone, and it works, I can also go on Internet), but the 3ds doesn't see the Nintendo Zone.

Please, can someone help me?

My new3DSxl has the firmware 10.6.0-31E.

With the Method 2, after the command "iwconfig" I have this message:
Code:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:"TP-LINK_8F68A1"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: A0:F3:C1:8F:68:A1
          Bit Rate=135 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
          Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-36 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:6 Invalid misc:140 Missed beacon:0

lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wlan1 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=20 dBm
          Retry long limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off

So I used this command to create the nzone:
Code:
sudo ./home_zone spoof1 wlan1 wlan0
Is it correct?

if anyone have problems with the router that dont change the Mac addresses i have found a little fix ^^

after installing it with this command:
wget -O /tmp/nzone.sh http://nintendozone.dynu.net/install; chmod +x /tmp/nzone.sh; /tmp/nzone.sh BASE16,GBATEMP

the Startup script is wrong
it hase the old URL=http://nintendozone.dynu.com in it.
Change it to .net and reboot and now its working again ^^

This did not work for me, i still get the same "not found" error.

i thought it might be the fw on my router so i downgraded it and it does the same thing. its a wnr2000v2 on ddwrt and i use to use it for this a while ago.

if i make a script containing what was posted a few posts back it gives me perm denied no matter what i set the files perms to and on reboot its wiped

the current fw that is on it is this one DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/24/10) but i have tried it with a newer one and got the same thing

You don't need to open it, it is an installation script with TAR archive inside. You need to make it runable and execute, read the menual carefully.
